Sportsmanship is playing fair, following the rules of the game, respecting the judgment of referees and officials, and treating opponents with respect. Sportsmanship should be in every game. Playing fair means to have fun. When you play fair you have a good game and see which one team is good, not better because each should not focus on winning but having fun. Remember that it is only a game, win or lose you played a good game. Lose with pride and win with gratitude. If every opponent follows the rules it would be a better game to play. Also try to Respect yourself, your teammates, and your opponents with a positive attitude. Don’t be negative, remember nobody likes a boss or a shot-caller so represent yourself in a good matter. And that is some things sportsmanship is about.
Most importantly when you don’t have a teammate that has good sportsmanship you should stop and think. You can either not play the game that the unfair person is playing or talk to that friend or opponent. Some consequences that some people can have is that you will not be liked if you are a sore loser. Also when you cheat in a game the first time the people you are playing with will not want to play with you in the future because once a cheater is always a cheater. So do not cheat, cheating is not having sportsmanship. Also some things that are not sportsmanship like is when you fuss and fight. Do not fight or argue in a game, shove push, or pull. That is not nice and you will either get kicked out of the game or maybe team. And nobody wants that just because a person doesn’t have sportsmanship. So have sportsmanship and heart for others.
When you see an opponent in a game hurt or had fell it would be nice if you help them up. That shows respect in sportsmanship. Sportsmanship can do a lot of good things in your life. You can get rewarded and win championships. And that is what sportsmanship is.
